1. Pond preparation for shrimp farming
AMM offers pond preparation services for shrimp farming, the services are:
- AMM conducts land distribution by using heavy equipment such as bulldozers and excavators
- AMM washes the pool with the help of chlorine to avoid the presence of harmful pathogens in the pool
- AMM provides a waterproof layer in the form of HDPE which will coat the pool so it doesn't leak
- AMM installs the infrastructure related to the preparation, such as electric poles to supply electricity for lighting equipment and windmills in shrimp ponds
- AMM also carries out maintenance for these poles if there is damage
2. Pond maintenance during the cultivation
Pond maintenance is a very crucial and tough stage in the shrimp farming industry. Maintaining water and pond quality will determine the quantity produced by the pond. The maintenance process services are:
- AMM checks and reports the pH, the temperature and the quality of the pond to the pond manager
- Those things need to be done so the shrimps will not be stressed
- AMM reports the oxygen level needed in the pond.
- AMM provides a feeding process according to the amount and composition that has been determined by the pond manager
- AMM provides services for shrimp farming equipment such as windmills, electrical panels, pumps, pipe cleaning, lamp replacement, and other equipment related to ponds.
3. Harvesting process
AMM carries out the shrimp harvesting process by first testing the size of the shrimp until the shrimp is harvested and placed into a sorting facility, the services are:
- Prevention of molting shrimp with the help of adding lime the day before harvest
- AMM conducts sampling of shrimp sizes by spreading nets to obtain information on the size of shrimp to be harvested (the pond management is not providing nets around the ponds to prevent potential theft)
- AMM carries out a sorting process by separating those shrimps that have met the standards same size
4. Post-harvesting process
The post-harvest process is very important to maintain the sustainability and stability of the pond for future use. This process must be carried out in dry conditions to prevent the presence of pathogens that can cause disease in shrimp. The steps are:
- AMM re-cleans the pool so that the pool is protected from harmful pathogens
- AMM cleans the dirt in the drainage channels to avoid the buildup of dirt that can interfere with the performance of the drainage channels in the future
- AMM prepares ponds for the new cycle
- AMM dries up the pond to prevent pathogen attack
